25 - 29 September 2006
Auditorium Madrid Hotel, Madrid, Spain

The Metro Ethernet Forum's 2nd annual Carrier Ethernet World Congress is Europe's largest and most comprehensive Ethernet services and Ethernet MAN and WAN networking event.

With 450 delegates expected in 2006, Carrier Ethernet World Congress is growing in significance as Carrier Ethernet establishes itself as a credible networking alternative, and as Ethernet services make the transition from cheap and simple point-to-point connectivity to feature-rich multi-point L2 VPNs capable of supporting carrier-grade quality, IP media and communication services.

Highlights include:

  • More than 20 fixed and mobile network operator case studies detailing real world deployments of Carrier Ethernet and Ethernet services - hear operator viewpoints on both the technical and commercial success of Ethernet
  • Technical Briefings on the standards and technology developments that are transforming Ethernet into a WAN networking technology
  • Keynote presentations from leading figures in Ethernet technology development
  • Multi-vendor interoperability showcase and exhibition

Carrier Ethernet Services Over Access Networks Webinar

September 21, 2006, 12:00 p.m. EST

One fundamental question arises with the rapid growth projections for carrier Ethernet: “How do end users actually get the service?” Adequate bandwidth access to residential and commercial buildings must be (rapidly) available to achieve analysts' projected service growth rates.

A number of new technologies are addressing the issues of delivering high-bandwidth carrier Ethernet services in the access network. Join the MEF in this panel discussion covering the latest developments that facilitate the delivery of Carrier Ethernet via a variety of access technologies.
